Note:
Charles and his family were onboard the Pembroke, an English
deportation transport ship that was overtaken by its Acadian
prisoners in later 1755, which had been destined for North
Carolina. After being turned around and sailed up the St.
John River the Acadians disembarked at St. John and made
their way into Quebec. Many were to soon to die in a small
pox edpidemic that hit the area in 1757/58.

Escaped the deportations with his family to Chaleur Bay
in northern New Brunswick until being caught or forced to
surrender in 1761. Was then imprisoned at Fort Edward until
1763. It is not known if Pierre and his family were onboard
the Pembroke.
